Defense Technology & Homeland Security
Massachusetts has a long history as a world center for defense technology innovation. The State’s $10B defense industry cluster is home to a wide diversity companies with strengths ranging from systems integration to research and development, command, control, communications, and intelligence, robotics, underwater autonomous vehicles, and advanced imaging.
This regional chapter of a NDIA consists of approximately 1200 members representing leading organizations in the New England region that support the defense industrial base. Members include representatives from government and industry (large corporations, small companies, and professional service providers) located across New England. The Chapter's goal is to be the place to exchange information and ideas in the defense and homeland security marketplace.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) helps companies navigate procurement processes to secure federal contracts. PTAC provides one-on-one counseling, with services, such as identifying contract opportunities, pursuing research and development funding, and assistance with contract management.
As a membership-driven industry association, DTI is building on its original Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) mission to establish New England as the definitive global leader in the defense technology industry. DTI’s mission is to enhance the competitiveness of the regional technology.
